"On Dr. Nicholas D. Kokonis' ARCADIA, MY ARCADIA"
By Helen J. Slaughter
This is an extraordinary story. The author's writing brings a distinctive style and highly personal vision to each character. For me, it's like looking at a classic movie that is full of mystery and suspense. My heart pounded with anticipation when the mare fell into the well. I really enjoyed reading this book and found it very hard to put down.
… In "Arcadia, My Arcadia" Nicholas Kokonis provides the readers with inspiring words such as, "A child should not judge his or her parents. In this story you can see that Angeles' parents where the most important people in their child’s world, and that they were also their child’s first and primary teacher.

I think the story also provides its readers with some awesome information on parenting skills that will help today's American families to understand or recognize the importance of parental competence and that they can benefit from helping and meeting their parenting duties in a positive way such as maintaining an effective respectful and trusting parent and teacher relationship, which encourage parents involvement in their child school.
Early interventionists have recognized for many years that the most powerful, efficient, and effective system for making a lasting difference in the life of a child has always been the family. I think "Arcadia, My Arcadia" takes its readers across the importance of family values, beliefs and honor. I highly recommend it to teachers or childcare givers, who enjoy reading a good book about families' beliefs and values, as well as anyone who enjoys a good read.
