AUTHOR NICHOLAS D. KOKONIS INITIATED INTO THE HELLENIC SOCIETY OF WRITERS
 
Nicholas D. Kokonis, Ph.D., author of the much-acclaimed and much-loved novel Arcadia, My Arcadia, was initiated into the Hellenic Society of Writers on August 11. This was a very distinct honor for the author because the Society, established in 1930, is one of the oldest and more respected literary circles of Greece, counting among its founding members such notables as Pavlos Nirvanas, Georgios Drosinis, Kostis Palamas, Stratis Mirivilis, Kostas Varnalis and Nikos Kazantzakis.
 
Society President Mr. Dimitrios Tsouknidas, enters Nicholas D. Kokonis' name into the roster of the Society's Membership Roster.

 

August 29, 2007 (Kapsia/Levidi, Arcadia): Hellenist Pedro Olalla held the First Annual Meeting of his newly established company INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR ARCADIA (www.pedroolalla.com). The event included a visit to the Kapsia Caves (not yet open to the general public) and a reception at the magnificent DRYADES CENTER in Levidi (www.dryades.gr).
